Father Paysse’s Travels
- Father Wayne Paysse, executive director of the Bureau of Catholic Indian Missions, represented the bureau at the funeral Mass for Bishop Donald E. Pelotte, the first U.S. Native American bishop, Jan. 14 in Gallup, N.M.
- Father Wayne Paysse represented the Black and Indian Mission Office at the anniversary Mass for Archbishop Fulton Sheen held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
- On Dec. 11 Father Wayne Paysse represented the Black and Indian Mission Office at a celebration of the Holy Childhood Association National Art Contest at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
- On Saturday, Nov. 14, Farther Paysse attended the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop Native American Subcommittee meeting in Baltimore. Father Paysse is a consultant to the subcommittee.
- On Nov. 19, Father Paysse participated in the 50th anniversary dedication of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
- On Nov. 16, Father Paysse participated in the national board meeting for the Black and Indian Mission Office held in Baltimore during the annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
- Father Paysse represented the Bureau of Catholic Indian Mission at the 25th anniversary of Blessed Kateri Parish Nov. 22 in the Diocese of Tucson. He concelebrated Mass with Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas.
- On Nov. 13, Father Paysse participated in the Xavier University Board of Visitors Meeting in New Orleans.
- On Nov. 10, Father Paysse represented the Black and Indian Mission Office by participating in the dedication of the Pontifical Mission Society’s new national office in New York City.
- On Nov. 5, Father Paysse participated in the Mission Forum meeting the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington, D.C.
- On Nov. 6-8, Father Paysse attended the Tekakwitha Conference Board meeting in Albuquerque, N.M.
