    2008 Annual Report

Accountability is a must for organizations. Records and archives provide important data for the history and accomplishments of the Church. For over ten decades there has been a published annual report of the Black and Indian Mission Office. This Accountability Statement is a continuation of the record.

“There are many projects we simply could not continue without this support. Our prayers of gratitude…” Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan, Archdiocese of New York

For 2008, the Black and Indian Mission Office Board of Directors made grant distributions in the amount of $8,700,000 to 132 Dioceses and nine organizations needing financial assistance with their ongoing evangelization programs.

Without the continued help of the Collection funds, many of these successful programs would cease to exist. Please take a moment to download and review this important document here:

Upon review, readers will find this audit certified that for every dollar received in the 2008 Collection, $.98 cents went for evangelization among the Black and Native American communities.
